Check out this site. Dental Burs USA They have all sorts of dental bits for cheap. Only $1.50 each. Plus they have a nifty size chart so that you can get the size and type of cut you want. This might even be better than visiting your dentist...although everyone should visit their desntist a couple times a year. ![]() |

I've heard of using detal burs in a dremel for lutherie, the only thing I can't figure out: what do you use them for!!! Let me in on the secret... |

I bet they would work pretty well for detailing and cleaning up inlay work. Some of those bits are quite thin. Other than that, I guess if you ever plan to giver yourself a root canal, you have everythign you need. Cheers! John |

Jay, Some of the guys use them to rout out inlays. They are a lot cheaper than comprable dremmel bits and they come in smaller sizes so that you can get finer detail. |

I get free ones from my dentist they are used but are fine for inlay work but can not be reused in denistrie due to infection concerns. |

I use them on a precision dremel base, to clean the fret slots during a refret, saves a ton o time. |

Gtrplry1, do you use a jig setup, or can you just follow the slots freehand? Just wondering. |
